Phishing is a cybercrime where an objective or targets are reached by email, phone or instant message by somebody acting like a as a real organization to bait people into giving delicate information like by and by recognizable data, banking and Visa subtleties, and passwords.


Here they send you a mail or message and try to convince you to share your personal details. Sometimes its a lottery ticket 🎫 mail or they will redirect you to a website which looks same as your original social media sites and soon after you enter it they'll get acess to your account. 

Now for this don't click on links make sure to check domain name of website before entering passwords, don't click on spam mails and messages 
Never share your details with a person on social media. 

Ways to prevent phishing 

1. Use 2 factor authentication 

Always use 2 factor authentication,  it reduces chance of hacking by half, 2 factor authentication means double security for your account .

2. Change password ofen

Don't use a password for long keep changing it on regular basis there are many pro hackers which can bypass two factor authentication as well as so in this case changing a password time to time helps you to re gain acess to your account. 

3. Install firewalls

Firewalls are a good things to stop external attacks, acting as a protect between your pc associate degreed an aggressor. each desktop firewalls and network firewalls, once used along, will bolster your security and scale back the possibilities of a hacker infiltrating your surroundings.

4. Keep your browser and apps up to date.

Many people are frustrated due to too much updates they don't want to do them, but those updates contain security patches and also bug fixes which ensures to fill all loop holes so keep your apps and browser upto date.

5. Keep an eye on logged in devices.

If you are unfortunate enough to be the victim of a successful phishing attack, then it’s important you are able to detect and react in a timely manner. Keep checking on how many devices your account have being logged it will help you to detect the presence of any unauthorized access to your account. 

6. Avoid using public wifi.

 if you'll login to your account through public wifi there's chances there is a man in the middle or hackers also create fake hotspots if you connect to them your all information is in the hands of hackers and scammers

Even if you followed all the steps there are lots of hackers and people who can still get into your account by passing everything best way is of having a great knowledge in cybersecurity.
